If you have an Office 365 subscription with multiple licenses, you can also share it with your friends and family members. All the persons to whom you will share your subscription will be able to take the benefit of all the features included in your Office plan. For example, they would be able to install and sign in to the latest version of Office apps for mobile, PC, tablets and Mac devices. In case if they don’t have a Microsoft account, they can easily create one to sign in. Furthermore, they will get one TB cloud storage in OneDrive, 60 Skype minutes for every month till the subscription end of the plan, access to other advanced features in Outlook.com and much more. To know how to share your Office subscription, follow the steps given below:
- First, make sure the computer or device of the person to which you are sharing your subscription meets the minimum system requirements. For example you can’t install Office latest version on Chromebook and PC running Windows Vista or Windows XP. Secondly, note that you can only share this subscription to maximum five people only.
- Now first, go to the Microsoft account sharing page and then sign in using your Microsoft account you have linked with your Office subscription.
- Select the Start sharing option under the Sharing tab and then select the option from which you want to send an invitation. Chose whether you would like to send an email or just copy the link and share it using text or any other platform. All they need is to click on the invitation link and they are all set.
- If you have selected the email option, then enter their email first in the given field and click on Invite.
You can also share your calendars, enable safe browsing, limit screen time and even share your Office plan with other members of your family. To this, you need to add that member to your Microsoft family list in order to let them access all these features. - First of all, visit the Microsoft Account family page and scroll down to select Add a family member option.
- Now click on Add a family member tab and then repeat these steps for each family member you want to add.
- You are allowed to add up to twenty family members in your Office 356 plan.
Note that although you can add up to twenty members in Microsoft Family, only five of them can use your Office 355 subscription. If you want to add a new member to your Office but already have five members using your subscription, you will need to stop sharing it with someone else before sharing it with someone new. You can manage the people you are sharing your Office 365 plan with by visiting Microsoft Account, Sharing page. Just remove access from anyone under Other people and assign it to someone new the same way. Besides, you can also share an invitation you have sent to someone in future if they haven’t already used it. Head to Microsoft Account Sharing page and then find the person from which you want to remove the invitation under Other People section.
